Now that we’re a few weeks into 2022, some of us might be really trying to get our resolutions up & started!

 

We wanted you to know that we try to make the best decisions on ingredients based on making the menu delicious, but we also want to make them as healthy as possible for you to fuel your body!

 

You’ve probably heard us mention before that we use imported French flour when we bake, because it’s made from soft wheat and it’s milled in smaller batches, giving it a fresher taste.

 

But also, French flour does not contain the harsh ingredients some people wish to stay away from when it comes to their diet. French flour has a lower gluten content than other types of flour because it is made from soft wheat versus hard wheat.

 

Along with French flour, there is a few other ingredients we use that we wanted to point out.

 

Anyone could imagine that a bakery uses a lot of butter in a day. To improve the quality of our products, we use sustainably sourced butter in all our menu items.

 

We also use reverse osmosis water, which is a water purification process that demineralizes or deionizes water, making it much healthier to consume.

 

That’s why we use the reverse osmosis system at La Colmar, and we also have bottled reverse osmosis water for sale that you can grab on your way out!
